We all spend so much time on the same sites that we sometimes never venture out to sites that are not on our day-to-day list, and we miss some really good nuggets of new information. I try to to make it my duty to check out some of the tech sites to see what’s new out there. This week I put together a small list of some awesome social media resources that may be new to you, that can help with streamlining your social media efforts

  1. Facebook Username

Facebook Username allows you to now create a Vanity URL for your Facebook Fan Page that you can use instead of the long words/numbers URL that Facbook automatically churns out.

Just login to your Facebook account and click this URL http://www.facebook.com/username/ and it will take you to the page where you can create your facbook.com/(yourbandname)

Just makes it much easier to send a smaller URL to someone than a bulky longer one.

  1. Manager Flitter

http://manageflitter.com/

Easily the best tool out there to manage your Twitter experience. Lovely clean interface and responds quickly!

Manage Flitter allows you to clean up and manage who you follow, find out who isn’t following you back, find out which inactive accounts you follow and easily search inside your Twitter stream.

     3. Tube Mogul

http://www.tubemogul.com/

This one has been around for a while now and Ariel Publicity has personally made plenty of use out of it. With 100s of video sharing sites uploading your videos can be painful but Tubemogul takes that pain away by allowing you to upload your videos to the Tubemogul servers and they then upload to a list of sites that you choose saving you heaps of time.

  1. Spotify

http://spotify.com/

Has Spotify become the new Pandora?

Spotify now gives you the option to make an infinite amount of playlists. You start off by keying in a specific artist it shows you several song options from that artist and options of artist similar to them and you are able to drag and drop the tracks onto a playlist. Once you’ve saved your playlist you can come back to it and listen to it via the web and also your mobile phone. It’s like creating your own radio station!
