Environmental Suicide (...did I actually mean what I had written?)

Being a hobby songwriter I realized long ago that there are no rewards or accolades at the end of this melodic highway, no climbing the charts, no fans and ultimately no pats on the back for this addictive pastime. I will however mention that I have finally written a song that may say something other than “I used to love you”, or “you used to love me.” The BP Gulf oil disaster was the event that sent me into a lyrical frenzy… I spent more way more than an hour writing these lyrics. This is my first political protest song that will certainly go unheard, but hell I think I’ve actually said something here… even if I am the only one who hears it.

Sincerely,

Sim
