Steve Saluto new EP "12"
Steve Saluto is an italian guitar player, songwriter and producer mostly known for his past works with Richie Kotzen. But, he also has played with lot of big names in the music business ranging from jazz projects (with Jeff Berlin and Danny Gottlieb) to rock music (teaming up with Atma Anur, Marco Mendoza, Terry Ilous, Doug Wimbish just to name a few) … and aside his studio production work he has a very prolific solo career. He has released 11 solo albums … not counting the 2008 project called “La Famiglia Superstar”. 2013 is the year for the latest release, the EP called “12”. The band members for this new project are Oni Logan (Lynch Mob) on vocals, Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Slash, Lynch Mob) on drums and Thomas Nero on bass. The record is another surprise from mr. Saluto and it gives him the chance to showcase his fluid guitar playing and his songwriting. The EP is a little rock music journey; starting from the killer guitar riff of “BELIEVER”, going through the acoustic dark atmosphere of “GONE”, and then through the instrumental “BANGKOK” where the Saluto’s guitar playing rules, and ending with the possible radio hit “MAKE YOU MINE”. Saluto has been able to add interesting elements to every song working with sounds (for example cello or electronics loops) and atmospheres. Overall, it’s a great effort from an artist always looking for something new in his music career.
Nothing has been left behind in the production of this EP from the sounds to the mix and mastering that Saluto personally followed at his own recording studio.
The track list is:
1) BELIEVER
2) GONE
3) BANGKOK
4) MAKE YOU MINE
“12” is actually available online worlwide.
