8 Of The Best Songs To Sing While Driving

Don’t deny it — some songs bring out your inner karaoke spirit when they come on in the car, forcing you to do nothing but sing along and headbang. Forget about the stares from vehicles in the lane next to you, you’ve got the joy and are feeling the music; if they could only be so lucky! You already have your list of personal favorites, but what are some universally beloved songs that you must sing to in the car?

Lost Songs Campaign

The Lost Songs campaign aims to seek out the very best songs that have been written but never published or recorded, thus running the risk of being “lost”.  The competition organisers are appealing to any songwriter, young or old, who has penned a song that has never been brought to the attention of the public.  This could be your chance to let that song be heard by a national audience.

What Bands Should Know About the Myspace Relaunch

If you haven’t received a notice or saw the posts, Myspace has relaunched with an all-new look. I found my email invitation in the spam folder. So what does this star-studded relaunch mean for musicians?

Probably nothing.

Myspace has tried multiple times to resurrect itself, though it was unsuccessful each time. We’ll see if Justin Timberlake and loads of money can make it work this time.

Local San Diego Talent Goes Big Time

Do you think music defines an area? I do. I mean, certainly some would agree that the grunge scene of the early 90’s would be indicative of the perhaps gloomier surroundings of the Pacific Northwest. Consider the soul-panged anthems that mimicked the gray skies and endless drizzle. You know, the ones that portrayed their youthful rejection of mainstream and sun-soaked America, preferring to venture off alone down an excessively flannelled and dismal path.

Is Real Country Music Dead, Or Just Sleeping?

Yes, the face of country music has changed.

Yes, at the moment that face may be 16 years old. And, yes, maybe adolescent dollars have been waging a battle for control of country-music airwaves and concert-tour bookings.

Still, is this proud genre — which probably would try to reject George Jones and Loretta Lynn if they were coming up today — IS traditional country music doomed?

Learning Piano With an iPad?

There are dozens of piano apps out there that tell us they are “the easiest way to learn piano”. Of course, that’s pretty stupid. No iPad app is going to replace a piano teacher any time soon. However, there’s one new piano app that made a nice step in the Mus-Ed direction, and let’s you play dozens of songs using your own piano or keyboard (or on-screen touch piano). it’s called Piano Dust Buster and it’s even free.

BRASH! Presents Artists With A Chance To Shine

New addition to Music Marketing Blog highlighting artists

(ATLANTA, GA), Jan 31, 2012 - BRASH! – A Music Marketing Blog, developed by Paina B Music Marketing, has now added a new element highlighting artists. The “Artist Spotlight” will give established as well as up and coming talent an opportunity to gain exposure to expand their brand. Each month, BRASH! will post, highlight, and give positive reviews for 1-2 artists. The goal of this new element is to provide a platform for quality artists.

Since this new addition to BRASH! was announced earlier this month, artists have been flooding Paina B Music Marketing’s email and social media sites to find out how they can have a chance to be on the site’s artist spotlight section. “The purpose of Paina B Music Marketing is to get quality artist to the forefront. Instead of making other media outlets take notice and provide features, why not take that step as well and give an additional outlet for exposure.”, says Paina B Music Marketing CEO/Founder, E. Alexcina Brown.

To sign up to be considered to be featured on BRASH! – A Music Marketing Blog “Artist Spotlight”, send music links, bio, YouTube link to PBMusicMarketing@gmail.com.
