WASHINGTON, DC – On January 27, 2012, Lethal Peanut will celebrate their long anticipated, self-titled, debut album with a release party at Rock & Roll Hotel. Lethal Peanut recorded their debut album at Cue Recording Studios in Falls Church, VA under the direction of multiple platinum-award winning record producer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks, Cowboy Mouth). Lethal Peanut is Washington, DC’s hottest foursome - a dynamic group whose music is best described as explosive, infectious rock & roll. They have been performing in the District since 2009, mixing their hard rock roots with folk-driven bluegrass, electric blues, and alternative riffs, punctuating their powerhouse sound with distinctive, intoxicating, and refreshingly original lyrics. Eclectic versatility in composition and performance is the hallmark of a Lethal Peanut show; the band and its mid-Atlantic following share an overwhelming, obsessive commitment to one thing – the music.
Lethal Peanut has been featured at DC’s NYE Downtown Countdown, ShamrockFest 2011, National Capital BBQ Battle, Uncle Sam Jam, Warrenton Wine and Arts Festival & NOVA Summer Brewfest, among numerous other venues across the Eastern United States. They have opened for international recording artists Everclear, The Wailers, Blind Melon, Pat McGee, and The Dan Band. Lethal Peanut is Nick Fetzer (vocals), Jeff Sherman (guitar), Bruce Tsai (bass, violin), and Steve Meredith (drums).
The band will be available for live press interview on January 26 & 27. Press photos, event graphics, and demo (non-album) music samples are available immediately at www.lethalpeanut.com, or by request. Promotional album copies are also now available, in print or digitally.
