World’s First Virtual Music Conference And Trade Show Attracts International Speakers, Exhibitors and Artists
Nashville TN - Indie Connect, an education and networking organization for independent musicians, is looking to break down the distance and financial barriers that prevent musicians around the globe from capitalizing on the opportunities that exist for them. On January 15-17, 2013, they will be presenting the first global, totally interactive, completely online music conference and trade show. The ‘IC Virtual Music Conference and Expo’ will feature 3 days of international networking, over 35 speaker presentations from industry experts around the world, a virtual music-business trade show, artist and record label showcases, contests and much more.
“We’re very excited about the response we’ve been getting” said Indie Connect founder, Vinny Ribas. “CEOs of music-related companies and renowned industry experts from everywhere have been coming out of the woodwork asking to be speakers. Some of our confirmed speakers include Ariel Hyatt, founder of Cyber PR, Andrew Aponov, founder of DottedMusic.com and Ultimate-Guitar.com, Madalyn Sklar, founder of GoGirls Music, and Hessel van Oorschot, CEO of Tribe Of Noise. We’ve also been contacted by businesses wanting to purchase a booth in the tradeshow, and artists from every genre wanting to showcase, and we haven’t even started our mass marketing campaign!”
To help get the word out, Indie Connect is partnering with music-related nonprofit organizations around the world, enabling them to sell tickets to their members at a discount and also make a commission on each sale. Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), GoGirls Music and SongsAlive are just some of the international organizations participating in that program. “We would like to sign up music-based nonprofits worldwide. It helps them bring in more income and helps us at the same time” says Ribas.
The conference has also attracted sponsors such as StreetJelly.com and, BeAppsolute.com, and media sponsors such as Music Dish, MI2N and Music Connection Magazine.
