Hello! I´m portuguese! Can the indie band win without a major label?
You can say it´s possible! Yes... Why not?
What is a major label? A label with a lot of money & contacts & brains of markting & without naivety. Everything is weighed and measured.
If a major label could win without spending money they would do it.
So if a major label spends huge amount of money in artist promotion.... it´s because promotion is required. What does promotion do? Nobody likes to be suddenly be approached by a stranger. The promotion transforms the artist into someone familiar. So familiar amazing. So feel you know the artist guy from somewhere...You already start to like this artist ... Yes! Promotion! Let´s talk about this new artist every day, every hour, everywhere!
So.. does indie bands have an agressive promotion? No! There´s no money!
So the audience feel they are strangers to them! Not so amazing like the other artist guy who everyone is talking about! Radio Gogo... radio Gaga.... yes! Lady Ga..... Everyone says she´s unique! Ok! Promotion!
Natalie,
Will do, expect some content shortly.
