The global self-promotion license application - it's a fake!

Numerous readers have emailed or questioned my post pertaining to artists needing a Global Self-Promotion License.  The post was a fake.  It’s not real.  I was trying to be funny.

I should have waited until April Fool’s day, but the world changes so fast that I didn’t want the post to be outdated.  The thoughts arrived. I wrote them down. I clicked the post button.  Sorry about the confusion.

People actually took it seriously? They need their "right to read" license revoked.

Right to read license? Where do I get that? :-P

You succeeded.
It was funny.
Soo crazy that you need to print this clarification...

They also need their "Sarcasm sensing" license revoked.

Heck, maybe this joke will evolve into a real life model! Who knows...

Oh, man. You hope the target audience gets it. Or maybe it did and you're the beneficiary of hordes of other, simpler folk just waiting to be re-educated. The peasant stock of the WWW. What's next? Your "Little Red Book" for aspiring band leaders?

I took it seriously for a minute. Then I got a coffee and laughed. Let's hope we don't end up in the sadly ironic position of looking back fondly at times when we laughed at ridiculous things that have since become the norm.
