Where Good Ideas Come From
This post comes from Fred Wilson’s blog. The quick video below is worth watching. Not only is the content within the video interesting, the video itself is a great example of leveraging the creative use of video to promote something else (a book in this case).

Excellent video. Collaboration has long been one of the largest factors to success in my mind. There have been very few instances in music where an individual did it all, everything, themselves. the very concept of a band is almost dependent on collaboration and being greater than the sum of its parts. This video is really only about the first step, though. The real trick in my experience is actually bringing that idea into reality. Creating that which has previously only existed in the mind of one or two individuals.

Was just thinking about that this morning, and how nonsensical it is to bestow a Nobel prize or any other prize on a single person, when really, one person just manifests a certain combination of many people's thoughts, the gathering of many bits of research...
